Shabuties DCSB (re)build

bought my 2002 Tacoma in 2012 with 146,000 miles. After being a daily driver for years and having some mods put on here and there, my truck is now my “overland/expedition” truck and will only be used as such.

I have a lot of upgrades and repairs coming in a short amount of time as I want to be ready for the overland expo west.

Upgrades coming:

WAM bumper with rear swing out
Dakar rear leaf springs
Arb snorkel
Arb front bumper refresh
New double din radio
New led lights behind gauge cluster
Other small additions
Contemplating new wheels and tires
New led fog lights

Repairs/preventative coming:

Valve cover gaskets
Spark plugs
All fluid flushes
Timing belt
O2 sensors
MAF
Hood latch

As it sits:

3” OME w/nitrochargers 883
worn out leafs with AAL
ARB bumper (needs refresh) with 12,000lb winch
285/75/16 Goodyear mt/r with about 30-40% left on cheap American racing wheels.
Double din touch screen with gps that’s frozen and won’t work lol.

Parts starting to come in. Pouring rain today. Keeping me from doing much.

 

Got to work today, but got called Into work so won’t get a lot done. Hopefully more tomorrow.

Got my winch and all other crap off. Starting sanding tomorrow.

 

Bunch of shit that needs to go on. Rear bumper is being built, snorkel is on backorder and rear leafs are enroute

 

Why not a

$350 CKMA12 On-Board Air Compressor High Performance 12 Volt for Air Locker Differentials and Tire Inflation

CKMA12? Allows you to have onboard air. That little guy will only power a locker.

Btw, front or rear? I take it doesn't already have an a elocker.

 

Already has a rear locker. I was mistaken in buying that compressor, but I bought it cheap. So I sold it and bought the

Bumper is coming along quickly. Snorkel came in today. Leafs springs should be here before the end of the week.

Nice. What did it run you? I see it's a safari. Not the budget ones folks are starting to put in.

Got my front end all buttoned up annnnd my winch doesn’t work. Not sure what’s up but taking my bumper back off tomorrow

 

Rear bumper is on and working great.
