Who here rebuilds their own shocks? I have Icon 2.5 remote reservoir shocks that are due for a rebuild. The truck is my daily driver and I can't have it down for two or three weeks waiting to ship them out and get them back rebuilt. I've checked around locally and nobody does it. Thinking of taking it on myself but want to talk to some people who have done it first. I know there are going to be some specialty tools and what not I need to buy but the rebuild itself looks fairly straightforward.

In case something goes wrong with the rebuild, I would have some used or spare set of coilovers lined up. Since this is your daily. Maybe a used set of Bilstein 5100's. Then you will have a plan B.
