here is my question,, I have a 2007 Tacoma TRD off road package, no lift, stock
117k miles,, both front lower strut bushing are shot and needs to be replaced
I do use it for desert travel, nothing to serious
what is the estimated life of the stock Bilsteins,, should I just replace the shocks now
it will cost me about $300. to replace just the bushings, or go with new shocks
    I got a price for a complete set of Bilsteins 4600HD for $329. plus install $240 = $569.
what I am worried about is spending money on old shocks,, they seem to be alright
or should I just bite the bullet and replace them now

one more question, is going with the 4600HD okay or go to some else

Your stock shocks have to be pretty damn tired at 117k miles. Mine rode like crap at 60k when I replaced them. OME Nitrochargers made it ride like a totally different truck. Replace the shocks, you won't regret it.
