Shocks

are KYB shocks any good??

They're pretty standard. Good, not bad, not great.

 

I don't have a link. I went to a shop where I got my lift done and they have those. I just want for a smoother ride cause every bumb I hit i can feel it. Is it any good for when going on mountains? Compared to the stock ones.

They were recommended by a local suspension shop.

Go billies or go home kyb are nothing special but budget friendly.

 

KYB shocks are in the upper range of economy shocks. As others said, they are good... no more no less. I would not hesitate to put them on my truck but I don't push mine either. Consider your usage and how long you want them to last. If you really beat on your truck, consider a premium brand (unless you simply enjoy replacing parts).

 

Subaru uses them as OEM. They're not a bad shock. Certainly better than something like a Monroe or Rancho, but not as good as a Bilstein.

 

There are many self proclaimed product experts here. KYB does indeed manufacture OE quality shocks and struts (largest in the world), but, also manufactures premium ride control products that many (on other forums) believe rival Bilsteins. Your ride control solution should match your intended usage, and KYB may well fit your requirements.
