Looking to buy these sidesteps for my new Taco but the guy said he lost the hardware. Long story short, the stealership says it is $50+ For the hardware kit but I'm seeing some online for 2nd gens for like $15. Anyone know if there is any reason I couldn't use the 2nd gen hardware on my 3rd gen? Thanks

I don't know about those but my aftermarket side steps fit a 2005-2017 and you didn't have to specify the year of your truck. So i would think a hardware kit for a second gen would fit

    a lot
it's 12 bolts that you need. $50+ be crazy for those bolts.

if you can get the cheaper one local to see or try to find the thread and pitch then go to a hardware store instead.

I'd stop by a hardware store to purchase those. Can't remember the size, try contacting NFab and asking them

Yeah, $50 seems crazy, even for the stealership. Hope it's the cheaper ones!

Looks like the bolt on just like the Tyger bars I have.

    The bolts you'll need are: 8mm diameter x 1.25mm thread pitch x 40mm length,class 8.8 steel.
Your going to need 12, along with 12 flat washers and 12 lock washers of the same 8 mm diameter

Any good auto parts store or even Home Depot will have. My bars shipped without hardware, cost me about 4 dollars out the door with my independent parts house.

I don't see why u would need the flats and locks as the pinch seem has threaded inserts for the bolts.

Flat washers in case the bolt head isn't wide enough to accommodate the steps pre drilled hole, and the locks just to prevent counter clockwise rotation.

I misunderstood, I guess, and thought the OP meant he was getting the stock hardware. They have the flat and lock made into the head of the bolt.
