I have modified my cig lighter plugs to operate when the key is off by wedging the arm inside the relay in place. After doing this I find that if I leave my Sirius radio on and don't drive the truck for 24 hours my battery will be dead. I have another car as well as my previous car with the same radio and I can leave the radio on and not drive the car for three days and my car will still start. The battery in the truck is new and load tests well so I am wondering if by modifying the relay it has caused an additional battery draw besides just the Sirius radio. Has anyone else experienced this same problem?

If you are killing the battery in 24 hours you have something else that relay powers doing it. I have forgotten on more that one occasion to turn it off in the tahoe my wife drives. Day or two later it starts right up.

First wedging the arm contacts inside the relay isn't a good idea in my opinion.

Looking at the prints the ACC SKT Relay only powers the cig lighter and power point sockets. Nothing else.

    Turn the radio off...
