    Hey all:

I am thinking of swapping my OEM HU (non-JBL) for an aftermarket one, but have a satellite question. I currently have the SCC1 tuner & TOY-SC1 interface but when I listen to sirius, I have to turn the volume much higher than CD's or reg. radio (I've already done the audio level adjustment too) to hear it with the windows down plus the bass and treble sound sucks compared to a CD or std. radio (as does any mp3 player through the Aux input on the lower dash). So my questions are:

    1. Will I still need the SCC1 and TOY-SC1 with an aftermarket HU that is sat-radio-ready?
    2. Will the satellite sound (volume, bass, treble) be better with an aftermarket HU or is it due to the sirius components mentioned in 1?

Any suggestions on an inexpensive HU that has Aux input on front panel and is sirius ready that'll work well with stock speakers for now?

    Thanks!
    J

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure the Toyota adapter will not be compatible with an aftermarket HU.
I've never had an audio issue with my ipod vs. sirius on my kenwood deck.

    Just my 2 cents.

Thx. So what is your sirius tuner then?

Also if not clear in op, its CD/AM/FM vs. ipod/sirius audio which sucks - IOW the sound from an ipod AND sirius both pale in comparison to a CD/AM/FM in the OEM HU...
