    Hello my name is Kevin.
I have completed my sleeping platform for the back of my truck. As you can see it is a simple build. Consisting of a 2×6, 2×2’s and 3/4′ sanded plywood. Up front will be two lockable storage compartments for my extra accessory battery and vehicle equipment that’s not being used very often such as jumper cables, DC utility light and other useful items for maintenance.

Well, I have used the softopper on 3 great trips so far and my overall thoughts on the softopper and the sleeping platform combination are outstanding. It has worked according to expectations. The convenience of having a lockable storage system and a place to crash with out having to set up anything has worked out perfectly. Of course there is a space issue while moving around in back, but it’s not for moving around in, it’s for sleeping. So I am happy with it. It’s a great alternative to a tent when needed.
