Have been having engine issues recently (cylinder misfire, hard idle).
I pulled the plugs and realized they had been replaced with single ground plugs.
Replaced all six with plugs from Toyota (part #90919-011920), been driving better ever since.

I couldn't resist trying a set of the Denso TT's....
they're at 5K now......at 10K I'll pull em and take and post pics on them...

I'll put em next to some ngk's iridium's about same age...

We'll see if that welded whisker holds up....

I'll put in the Ruthenium's next... with discount.....$11ea from advance......
think these may be best for those who drive alot of highway miles....
they provide best spark at higher rpms.....over the denso's.....

For stop and go traffic the TT's provide a real fine spark at those two tips...
that in theory degrade even slower than the 100K ones of yesterday.....

Same with oil....dont matter what kind....

as long as its the change me often kind.....

My truck is 99% stop/go traffic.....so I figure that cuts cycle lifes in half....
oil, atf, steer fluid, brake fluid, coolant, plugs and wires.....
Plus anything else that cooks under the hood...

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Think I’m gonna go with iridium because I drive a mix of stop/go city traffic and long highway miles so I would prefer the longer life of the iridium. I’ll probably look at the iridium TTs as suggested. Glad there’s more opinions than just “OEM or die”, I get that it’s usually a good idea to go with what the vehicle was designed for but also something like spark plugs where technology has advanced from 2003, seems like changing from OEM won’t hurt anything… as long as my gap is set correctly and it supplies a spark then I’m good to go.
