Having trouble with the fit of the U joints spicer 5-1330-1x. I can’t for the life of me get the clips to seat properly it’s like the u joint itself is a little longer, and it’s very stiff. Checked for debri in the groove and no needles have fallen. Surely someone has run into this problem

I replaced my U-Joints with 1330's and had no issues. The retaining clips are different thicknesses for slight variance in fit, make sure to use the same color of retaining clips on both sides of the u-joint. When installing my u-joints I did have a needle fall but I knew it right away as the cap was no where near pressing far enough to install a clip. My suggestion is to pull the joint out again and triple check to make sure a needle did not fall. Hope that helps!

The Spicer set comes with 2 sets of snap rings. Thin and Thick. Need to use the matching snap rings on opposing sides of the joint.

Check the opposite side to make sure the joint is seated against the opposite snap ring.

    Double check everything.

Remember. Force is an answer, it may not be the right answer.
