I chock the front wheels.
Jack the truck up at the hitch.
Spread the leafs with a screw driver or pry bar.
Spread grease with a popsicle stick ONLY on the contact patches (4 in total) near the retention clips on the bottom leaf.

You can put grease on the overloads if you feel you need it but unless you haul or flex the rear a lot, its not necessary.

Tools:
Jack
wheel chocks
big screw driver or pry bar
Multi purpose grease of your choosing (mine is tan in color)
Popsicle sticks



Again, i do this every spring and it works for me for about 11-12 months

Same as this but i use white lithim grease in a spray can

No problem at all.

I'll have you know, I coated my whole frame in fluid film to protect it against salt and snow this winter. I completely regret it. My frame is now coated in oil (from the fluid film) and chunks of mud and dirty are stuck to it. God forbid I have a leak because I won't be able to tell

I have a 2014 which also has a squeak out of the rear somewhere at times (and I'm assuming it's the leaf springs. I can replicate it by pushing down on the rear bumper). As far as I know though, there's no TSB for the 2014's and they're supposed to have an updated leaf pack, no? Is the squeak just an occasional Taco characteristic? Seems to go away for a while when it's wet.

 

The stock leafs have horrible quality friction pads. At 46k the friction pads on mine are almost completely gone.

 

epdm pond liner has worked pretty well for squeaky dakars. you can get a good sized sheet off ebay for a few bucks.
