Recently I had my first accident when I rear ended another car. :-( In the process I collapsed my steering column and it was replaced by the shop. (Air bag did not deploy, but that is topic for another day). However it now seems that my steering wheel is still too close to the dash.

Can someone measure the distance from the dash up the column to the seam at the back of the steering wheel so I can compare it.

The shop claims there is only one way the part can go in so it has to be right. Blah blah.

    Thanks!
