I bought my 2009 Tacoma 4wd access cab in 2013 with 55k on it. It is a little over 100k now and still going strong. The only problem I've really had with it is angle parking:

I left it "in gear" outside my garage and when my neighbor came to ask where my truck was, I was surprised to find it gone. My driveway is steep, curved, and narrows at the bottom. Somehow the truck backed down, passing right through the opening at the bottom - fortunately it didn't continue straight into the neighbor's living room, but whipped a bat turn (I could see the rubber marks on the road) and then slowly started rolling forward into the next neighbor's yard and driveway. The Chevy suffered only scratched paint on the canopy and the insurance contributed $1800 towards that teenager's new car :)
That was in 2013 and the repair was well done; I haven't had any problems because of that damage.

Omg what what a story. So did the neighbor who came to ask where your truck was already see it had crashed?

like, “hey so uhh, where’s ur truck buddy?”

Yeah, they weren't snide, but saw the crags truck and thought it might have been mine.
Only other time somebody asked me where my vehicle was, someone had swapped plates from a stolen car like mine. I had to get out of bed and check - yes it was there... "what's your license number?" oh...
