I washed my truck yesterday and noticed all 4 tires looked to have quite a bit of weather cracking going on. I park outside, but don’t use any tire dressing, I just run over the sidewalk with the sponge when I’m washing the truck. I bought it new, 24k on the truck/tires, just about to hit 3 years old. Is this amount of cracking “normal”?

Looks like you got your use out of them, I'd be replacing them ASAP, tread looks to be worn almost to the wear bars/indicators.. you will love the ride and feel of a new set, plus be much safer for wet weather handling..

Those tires are the worst. I went with Michelin Defenders as a replacement, ride and grip were much improved. Alot of tire shops have sales for memorial day, I would think about replacing them soon.

And 265/70r17 is the largest size that will fit on a stock truck...

Went and picked up new tires today. Went with K02s, 265/70/17. Now I just need to get the TRD Pro suspension that’s been sitting on a shelf installed. I was waiting until I got new tires, but the condition of my old ones sped up the timeline.

What is the manufacture date on those tires. Bet they are way over 3 years old.

That is outrageous for a relatively newer tire. They should go at least 5-6 years. Have they been dunked in silicone type tire shine or GULP. I have seen people use brake fluid to shine a tire.

I never even used tire shine. I’d run a sponge over it with car wash soap when I washed the truck. I thought it was outrageous for a 3 year old tire, too. 60k tread warranty on em, and there is no way they would’ve gone that far either.
