how hard would it be to swap these tail lights out with LED ones? Is it plug-and-play or is there more work involved? If it's not plug-and-play where would be a good place to get some smoked taillights that will fit?

Probably the easiest thing you can change on the whole truck. It's something like 3 bolts and a plug.

Yea but can you change from a setup with normal bulbs to an LED set up easily?

Correction: 2 bolts, three plugs, one each for each bulb.

Yeah. When you take the housing off, you'll disconnect 3 plugs that each connect to a bulb. Just swap out the bulbs that are in there for your LED ones.

Cool. Where is a good place to get some cool smoked ones? Amazon?

Where did those things come from? On an '09 you would have had LEDs from the factory.

Don't blame you. No idea why someone would swap the factory LED taillights for those. They're awful looking.

How long have you had them and have you had any issues? I'm worried about the longevity of these. A few people have complained about LEDs going out after some time. However that is only a few reviews. I'm sure there are thousands of these sold and very few bad reviews. I want these but I went the cheap route and cut open my 08 oem tail lights and blacked them out.

    Just a few LEDs...
The black Depo tails are very good quality and look great. I've had mine for over a year with no issues.

That's not a testimony in LED longevity since they should last 10 years but its at least a valid rating on the quality of their build.

^^^ I haven't had and issues either. I went to all LEDs in the taillights, got them from @csjumper2003 and everything fine. For added protection, I did silicone the perimeter of each unit just for some insurance. very happy with these.

Looks like I might have to just buy a set of depos then. Does anybody know anybody who is selling some?
