sway bar bushings

OK so my truck has an annoying squeak going on up front, it mostly occurs when one tire hots a bump or when the suspension flexes like pulling in and out of my driveway. It does not happen if I bounce the truck up and down. I think I narrowed it down to the sway bar bushings, 2 wks ago took them off and greased them. The squeak seemed to subside but quickly came back, truck only had 37k on it BTW. Had anyone seen these bushings go bad with that low of milage? I'm thinking about just ordering two new ones and trying them out. Also I noticed that the bushings do not sit flush with the bracket does this look normal or a sign they are worn?

Try silicone spray?

Thanks, Im just going to order some new bushings and try that out. I have found OEM bushings for $12 each and if they solve my issue it will be well worth it. I did notice today that the squeak happens more if I hit a bump while turning.

I do think that your squeak is coming from the sway bar bushings like you had noted. Sometimes parts dry out or degrade faster when the vehicle isn't used often. The parts are made to be used/moved/articulated frequently. If it doesn't go away you will likely want to look at your control arm bushings.

A good lubricant for bushings like this and poly bushings is brake hardware grease. It lasts a long time and doesn't degrade the bushing as it is made to keep the rubber boots on sliders in tact as well.
