Sway Bar Disconnect

My truck didn't come equipped with a sway Bar Disconnect. Are there aftermarket solutions to get better similar articulation or is this not needed unless you are doing major offroad adventures

 

To be blunt: if you don’t know for a fact that you need it, You really don’t need it.

it’s a fun idea, but you can get EXTREMELY far off road without it. Maybe a bit slower, maybe a bit more jostled, but still very far. No Tacoma has shipped with it until 2024, and lots of Tacomas have gone lots of places before people remove them.

but no, no aftermarket support for such a thing yet. There will likely be quick-disconnects at some point, although that market might have shrunk with the option.

 

Good to know. I watched one test where the guy compared 3rd gens to 4th gens an he said the 4th gen without disconnects have less articulation but then he added that those 4th gen with the disconnect get 4 more inches.

 

Oh yeah, it’s a huge improvement. But even without that gain in articulation, you can get very very very far
