  1. Yes, I'm not a heathen

  2. No, I have a complete disregard for the safety of others but DROOP!

I don't believe it does which is why nobody makes them and nobody on here is posting about their homemade 2gen disconnects.

If I had a sway bar on my truck I'd go give it a shot. It fell off when I put my icons on.

I off road and don't have the stock sway bar, but I'm thinking about adding the Currie anti rock to the rear of mine. I get tons of body roll

Do the 2nd gen tacoma's share suspension geometry with the 4th gen 4runner and later FJ's? A member on the 4runner forum made some front discos that worked on those platforms as long as you anchored the sway bar up and out of the way.

I do like having disco's. Driving back to the hotel last week from the trail at Moab was real sloppy and loose. Fixed once i connected back up.

I believe they do, but something must be different because I swear this has been tried by several other people and failed.

I'd put mine back on if I had a way to safely disconnect it when needed. Don't make me go bolt that thing back up and stare at it :goingcrazy:

Just from looking at it, I'd say unless the sway bar articulates with the suspension it's going to make contact at some point and if it only articulates with one side it will make contact with the other side at some point.

It seems like if it's strapped up it's going to run into the brake lines.

Not fully disconnected, but allows much more flex.

This is on a hilux. Very similar if not the same front suspension as a Tacoma.

only way I see that working is if you cut it at the bend and add another link so you could remove that whole section.

The link would need to be beefed up though. It looks weak having that hole drilled in it.

When I removed my sway bar, the trea threads in the relocate blocks stripped, and one of the nuts welded inside the frame snapped off. Looks like I'll be without a sway bar for a while.

It looks weak, but I'd run it as is. It's basically connected to a spring. Hard to say how much force is on the sway bar at full flex.

I'd probably make my own tho
Fit over the shaft looks a little sloppy. Id also put rubber spacers at the ends to quiet it down a bit.

    :notsure:
Looks like he was just driving down a dirt road next to a cemetery and turned around. Not like he was mobbing.
