I have a 2014 Tacoma and I am having issues with my radio. I have seen other posts where people are talking about their radio turning Off and then back on, but I think I am beyond this problem. About three months ago my radio turned off, and the screen was white. I changed a fuse and this solved the problem, Then about a month later it happened again and nothing I have tried can fix it. Has anyone encountered this white screen on their factory entune radio in their Tacoma?

Mine turned off a few times recently. Turned out my acc fuse was loose (used an add a fuse for my switch panel). My screw was black though

White screen no, but a firmware update resolved the issue of the radio randomly shutting off. I believe I got the firmware update from Toyota’s site. All you need is a blank USB flash drive and 20 minutes of time.

YES! I have this problem too! Not all the time though. Just randomly every couple months my radio restarts to Toyota screen and continue screen and either freezes or plays as normal for about 2 minutes then restarts again. no rhyme or reason to it. I'll check my fuses and get this firmware update. Thanks so much!

The white screen has happened to me a few times before. I just smacked the dashboard above the radio and it comes back to life...

I was told by a Toyota tech something about a ribbon cable in the radio that fails. Idk how true- just what I was told.

Energ73 there is no update for the non nav radio, if you are experiencing your radio randomly turning off or a white screen you basically have some sort of short or corrosion on the ribbon cables. Have had mine apart to change a screen and I can tell you it not easy to do. I did find some corrosion on the ribbon ends and ended up applying electrical contact cleaner to them. Radio works well and I did not apply the update to it yet. Mine is a nav one.

Hmm, my radio does the same thing. No white screen but will randomly turn on/off from time to time. 2014 non-nav unit.
