I just called my local Toyota Dealer here in Vancouver, Canada and they told me it could be a couple years wait if I ordered a 2025 Tacoma Trailhunter because they are making so few of them. Anyone know if that is true? He told me to order a TDR Pro instead because it will be way faster to be delivered. I want a Trailhunter though lol.

You should look up the Sales General Manager and send him an email, and give him a call. That’s an expensive truck and you really want facts from the person that can get you the allocation and best price.

I told a sales guy in June that I was looking for an OR with the upgrade package and a 14" screen. He said, "It only comes with an 8" screen."

Any idea if there is a discount on the TrailHunter near you?

There's probably a good percentage of Tacoma shoppers who don't know what a Trailhunter is, and they probably aren't going to pay 60k for a Tacoma of any kind. There's probably a fair number of people who would purchase a Tacoma that are unware there's a 4G Tacoma.

With the Trailhunter what is the problem moving them? Is it the hybrid component, or the price? How many people are going to pay over 60k for any new truck, and they might just go buy a fullsize with a healthier discount even if it's a Tundra.

The Trailhunter is already built for a niche market. It won't make sense for a lot of people.

I’m seeing more TH with discounts versus Pros with discounts. One guy here snagged one for almost $6,000 off MSRP a month ago I believe.

I've had a deposit down on a Trailhunter since January 2024 and was told by the dealer they expect "my" allocation by June 2025 but I'm third in line for a Trailhunter. In July 2024 I put a deposit down on a TRD Sport Premium LB in Supersonic Red at the same dealer and they told me it would be 60 days to have that vehicle in hand, they called me yesterday to say they just got an allocation for one. So at this point the supposedly easy allocation is 5 - 6 months longer than they told me so I don't have much confidence in the June 2025 Trailhunter promise.

Another dealer has access to a 2024 Trailhunter in their network that I could buy (with minimal addons) and have delivered in a few weeks.

What to do, what to do?

You will incur more depreciation on the leftover '24 than an incoming '25. It would need to be discounted accordingly.
