Camper shell. Other than that, she's completely stock.
Ran a 99' tahoe for years. 5.7 V8 vortec(350), one of the best motors ever made(imo), She was bulletproof, never left me stranded. Six inch suspension lift, custom rear driveshaft fabricated by Dan's Driveline, Las Vegas, k&n air filter, computer programmer, re-programmed tire height, shift points, and to run 91 octane fuel only, on 285/75 w/aftermarket 16" rims. In 65,000miles of owneship only ever replaced the head gaskets w/main seal @ 75,000, and fuel pump @ 95,000. Note; I purchased the vehicle as the second owner @ 60,000miles in Las Vegas, 2007. Upon purchase I immediately started running Ams full synthetic motor oil, changed every 3,000miles, religiously. Ams full synthetic transmission fluid. IFS, front & rear drive shafts lubricated every 5,000miles, as needed pending driving/weather conditions, religiously. Meticulously kept, no accidents, straight body, a little bit of oxidation was beginning in the middle of the engine hood. She was my baby! Super clean inside and out. Most comfortable vehicle I've ever had(including my taco!). Fully loaded, a/c in front & rear, it was immediately cold even in the middle of summer in Vegas. Worked my whole life for a 4x4 chevy! Now living in Southern Alberta. It all ended Christmas morning of 2012 coming around a curve on an icy road, the rear end came out on me and I wrapped her around a light pole. Luckily I didn't hurt anyone and I was alone. Had a concussion, suffered from it for a few months. About eight months after the accident, came across a deal I was unable to pass up and purchased a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Off-road TRD w/68,000km. 4.0 V6, completely stock w/matching colored locking Leer topper. The bow tie will always hold a dear spot in my heart, but it's safe to say I'm a huge fan of my Yota! Not quite able to afford to build it up yet, but I'm slowly nearing that point! Which brought me to TW! Looks to be one of the best places to find out the best tried and true equipment used by everyday guys in real world applications and situations. Going to start asking for opinions on a plethora of subjects, but took the advice of TW to just start w/a little about me! Thus far I can't say enough good things about my taco! My girlfriends' father has a 2007 Power Wagon, as well as her brother runs a 2014 Power Wagon, and I hold my own w/them. Love my locker! I will say they run much harder than I do, her brother loves the mud! While trying to get stuck, he rarely does!

Well I guess I'll stop there about me, and start here about my Tacoma. I have the five-pronged trailer hook up attachment next to the hitch along w/the trailer brake controller installed in the cab. I believe it came installed from the factory. I don't remember where I read it, but I read that if your taco is equipped w/that type of trailer lights hook-up, you're truck has an external cooler for the transmission??? Like this style of Tacoma was built for towing??? I know the previous owner towed an enclosed double tandem trailer, maybe like twelve feet long. Which is why I thought he had the trailer brake controller. But he said it came factory installed. So just trying to find out a little more about my pick-up! Thanks to anyone who replies, or to anyone that can help w/my questions.

Howard is God!!! Bababooey to you All!!!

Welcome to TW! I have a similar story. I owned (still own) a 98 2dr Tahoe. Bought it 6 months old and still have it. I have 236,000 miles and it was the best vehicle I have ever owned. Sad part is I was on my way home late one night in Jan 2012 and it was really icy out. I came over the top of a hill and 16 abandoned cars were sitting there. I hit the breaks and that was it. Totaled an Acura and banged up the front end pretty good. Put it in my garage and borrowed a car until I got the funds together for my now Tacoma. Bought it in Dec. of 2012. Tahoe is still in the garage awaiting the day I can resurrect her!

    Again welcome.

    Wait for it...
Same here. 2 Tahoes then a Taco. I'm appreciating the "better" mpg's.
