Tail light issues

    i was replacing my head lamps to LED when i was pushing the light into the socket the tiny metal contact was bent on the light and had touched both the positive and the ground on the socket. now i have no tail lights. checked fuses all is good there. what is the next step in troubleshooting? thx in advance

    you checked both fuse boxes ??

    Some place you have an open circuit

    2017 tacoma sr5. i checked all fuses. ive checked out the relays that are connected to the head lamps. all checked out and i am stumped

    Although you checked fuses, I'd replace the 7.5A tailight fuse with a known good one. It powers the parking and marker lights in the headlights (but not the actual headlight bulb), the marker/side lights in the tailights, and the license plate lamps. If none of those work, that fuse could be the issue.

    Now, if nothing works--headlights, tailights, etc. that's a bigger issue.
