Tailgate locking system

My 09 5 lug never came with a locking mechanism for the tailgate. Would i need to buy a whole new tailgate or are there locking systems you can buy? Anything helps

 

Mine also came with a backup camera on the latch. I dont know if that makes a difference

 

Pop N Lock is a common type.

Keep in mind that it's worthless unless you have a hard cover or a topper that locks.

If you only have a tonneau, a pocket knife will allow bed access.

 

Yep, Pop N Lock tailgate handle. You can get them in black or color matched and the backup camera mounts right in them. You'll find them all over Amazon.
