I have an 06 tacoma with 170,000 miles on it. I replaced my u joints at about 125,000 miles. I have had this take off vibe for quite a while now. It is at low speeds and only in 1st gear. It even happens when taking off slow....usually starts at around 5mph then goes away right before shifting into 2nd while normally driving so probably around 10 mph. I think it gets worse the faster you take off. I do not have the TSB leafs. The only thing I have done is install bilsteins all the way around and set the fronts to .85. It vibrated before I did this and did not get any worse after I installed them. My question is should I try dropping the carrier bearing or using axle shims? I have read lots of other posts and it seems that the answer seems to vary and quite a few of the people that have this problem have lifts even though some people still have it like me with the stock rear suspension. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going home over Christmas break because I'm in college and would like to fix it during my time off.
