I have a 2000 Tacoma SR5 with a temp gage that reads mid scale 100% of the time even when I first start the engine in the morning it jumps right to mid scale even though I know the engine is cold. Any ideas???

Make sure the temp sensor wire didn't come loose. Check the temp. Senot itself, may be bad.

Check temp sensor or wire to sensor?

I pulled the sensor wire off going to the temp gage and the gage still reads mid scale with no input
