Texan coming to Arizona

Whats up guy's i'll be driving the taco to Phoenix, never been here before gonna be sweet, I'll be in from feb 27 to march 3rd, Going to a big remote controlled car race called the dirt nitro challenge wanted to hit some scenic trails and sight see take picks and stuff. any suggestions that are cool that aren't to far. thanks

 

The Apache Trail is a must see for all flatlanders. It starts in Apache Junction, east of Phoenix a few miles. 4WD not required--any passenger car can make it.

Drive up to one of the mountains surrounding Phoenix, especially South Mountain Park for the overlook as the sun sets. It's a city park and the view of the city lights is phenomenal.
