I recently put a lift and new wheels/tires on my 2010 Crew Cab TRD 4x4. I can't tell you how many times I ended up on TW reading your build threads and previous questions. It was extremely helpful.

I'd also like to add that there were multiple threads asking the same thing (tire size questions, Bilstein 5100 questions, etc). I like that. A lot of times, one dedicated thread to one topic will not lead to more questions. In other words, multiple searchable threads on the same topic really helped me get all the info I needed.

Because of the information I found here, I was able to complete this project and get the results I wanted. I am a long-time member of several other message boards. I doubt I'll post here much. I wanted to take a minute to thank you guys though and to add to it. I'll list my details and attach a few pics as well. Maybe someone in the future will run across my build and it will give them an idea of what to expect.

I wanted to put a lift on in order to put a larger size tire. Also, to beef up my rear suspension. I believe 6 years of towing a bass boat has caused my rear end to sag. Plus, my hitch had to be upside down in order to un-hitch my boat as the tongue jack wouldn't raise enough to clear the ground. I hated that.

Went with Bilstein 5100's set at 1.75". Purchased from Downsouth Motorsports due to recommendations on TW. Also purchased the 5125's for the rear.

2" AAL in the rear. Bought "HeavyMetal" brand from Amazon. Came with the angled shims to correct rear angle. Did not come with new U-bolts, which I could have used. Actually, the stock U-bolts were not long enough, so I just left the shims off. No vibes that I can tell.

Had to trim the front quite a bit to fit. No rubbing now. Did not have to do the Body mount chop thing. Mud flaps were gone a long time ago anyway.

The install wasn't too bad. I got a couple of friends to help. The hardest part was trying to get the front strut package back in with the longer shocks. A couple of small pry bars and 3 sets of hands helped.

I can't believe the ride improvement. A little stiffer and I can definitely feel the bumps in the road. But, the stability and handling is much better. I'm guessing my old shocks were pretty shot. Really glad I only went with the 1.75 up front and with bilsteins on all 4 corners.
