Anyone know about this?

 

What did you want to know? I don't know much other than what it's used for. I ussume you know but if not I'll elaborate later.

 

Yea I've seen a few winch anchors, but I figure if I can't reach something to winch from with 100ft of cable and over 150ft of rope and straps then I'll just use trax or dig myself out. If I absolutely positively must winch then I'll dig a T and use my spare tire as an anchor. I mean anyone who might ever use one of these should already know well enough to have at least a small D handle shovel onboard.

Really not much point in them unless you like more random large heavy rattling steel crap in your truck with all the other gear you are loaded up with. My truck is heavy enough with it's trail armour and overlanding equipment, I don't need to be carrying any more hunks of metal.

 

I know what it is and how it's used. I am curious about the company, history, etc. I am also curious why it is 2 pieces, the outer "sleeve" is removable. I would love to see the directions.



It is a neat piece with Co history, it's never been used, and I got it silly cheap. Pull Pal asked to to tell them how well it works. And I need to get a winch first.

 

Again, I know very little and you have me wondering now too. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess the second red piece is to hold the anchor at an angle so when pressure is put on it, it digs better than dragging? It's not in front of me, but do you think that makes sense with the way it is laid out?
