    Hey Everyone,

My truck was broken into last night. took a good amount of stuff from tools to vehicle titles. Cause I move today so i was loaded up in the cab only.:annoyed:

Here is the kicker. I double check the doors on my truck after spamming the lock button.

No broken windows and no scratches from jims or bump keys.

So this is a heads up if you like your stuff and worry about this shit. They are getting smarter.

I am still waiting, but my neighbor has a camera that looks right across his yard at side they broke into. So fingers, toes, balls and eyes crossed. :fingerscrossed:

That sucks! Check your sliding rear window. That's how some tweakers broke in to my truck. I didn't notice until I saw some broken plastic bits on the rear seats.

The dowel rod mod is a good option if you haven't adopted it yet.

Everything still works fine, doors lock and unlock. operates normal.

No I spammed the lock button on the fob and double checked that the doors locked. And the passenger side doors were still locked this morning, while the driver side doors were not closed at all.

So verified closed and secure. They still unlocked one side and got in.

First thing i thought of and no smudges on the glass or broken piece. still secure.

pretty sure the truck just has remote unlock/lock factory and it isnt an actual alarm.

Hate to say it man. Sounds like you left the drivers side unlocked...

Doesn't excuse the thieves though. I hope you catch up to them and curb stomp their teeth in.

they are boosting the proximity signal from your keyfob. even if the keyfob is in the house, thieves can boost that signal so the driver side door thinks it's next to the car. i recommend keepign your keys (primary and spare) in a RFID safe pouch or box when home.

I am finishing a move today and it was the last little stuff. It was the title to my motorcycle and my 83 chevy. which have already been moved.

Maybe i will get some chains and go from the roof rack, through the door handle, and then to a frame point underneath. I would only use it over night and it would only add five minutes in the morning. The rubber play ground chains of course so it doesn't damage the paint too much.

This idea brought to you by the insecurity brought on by having your stuff stolen.
