Tire rotation

iam the same age as you and yes bias plt did

 

I think we who were born around 1957 sure grew up in a great time to experience life in the USA...

 

OK , lets say the shop did criss cross rotate your radials , and you've been hunting a wheel vibration you can't seem to pin point .

If you get them put back to the sides they were on are you golden , or are the tires now FUBAR ?

I've never had a problem.

 

When Radials first came out there were warnings not to mix with bias tires and not to rotate from one side to the other, front to back and back to front only. Several years ago I asked Bob Bower at BFG about it and he said it was not longer true on the roatation. That todays radials can be rotated any which way. Personally I would just do front to back and back to front. Maybe it's a just in case thing.

They should certainly know better!!! Sounds like someone owes you some new shoes!

 

Might be my problem, too. KM2's that I can't seem to get to stop shimmying at high speeds. Suspension is dialed in, had 3 alignments done all after getting rotations. Air pressures are at 40# all around, etc.

Discount Tire does my rotations because they're the only shop I trust, but how would I know if one of their techs crossed them over? Is there a way to test for this somehow?
