Just got some TRD Pro suspension from the second hand market and I've noticed the bushing is squished more than the other. Would I need to replace the top hat based on the image?20250512_171953.jpg 20250512_171953.jpg 20250512_171953.jpg 20250512_172009.jpg

Bushing looks like its cracked but that bushing comes with the shocks not the top hat. Should be able to get a replacement for that. Not sure what the bushings on the underside look like. You will have to decompress the spring to replace it though.

Wouldn't really need replacement. But depending on miles on that pro suspension you may consider full rebuild. Typically 50k miles is rebuild time.

The top hat is the same as lower trim trucks, plenty of inexpensive aftermarket choices (KYB, Moog, Beck/Arnley, etc.). I would replace them while they're still off the truck, to avoid having to do them later.

that center bushing is cooked and splitting, i also see a bit of cracking on one of the isolators although looks minor? I'd get new KYB top hats if not able to find replacement bushing and isolators for whatever tophat that is.

Honestly, looking at the condition of the top hats, I'd wonder what the condition and miles of the shocks themselves are and whether they need to be rebuilt.

I really really dislike buying second hand suspension as it's kind of a roll of the dice if you don't personally know the seller.

Just that top bushing needs to be replaced. With the rust on there though I'd soak those shaft threads in some pb blaster or wd40 first before trying to take that nut off. Make sure to inspect the bushing that holds the shock shaft under the top hat as well. Those can wear through over time and then allows the shock shaft to rub against the top hat. Someone also tightened those waaay down to compress the bushing on top like that. 22 ft lbs is all that thing needs for when you repair it. If you need them rebuilt let me know and I can help you out.
