So with the pro efx mirrors folded out and upright in supercharged tow mode, the distance between the window glass and the outer edge or the mirror glass, mid-height is 18". From the base of the mirror mounting bracket it's about 20".

However more importantly for you, with both mirrors extended the distance from the outer edge of the mirror glass on the driver side, to its counterpart on the passenger side, is exactly 96" by my measurement. You won't see behind your trailer in straight stretches but you will be able to see just about everything beside it, and if you are turned a little backing it into a spot you should be able to see behind it just fine.

    Hope that helps.

Sorry reddpaw I was talking to the OP. You have a lot of totally different questions there. Your best bet is to start a new thread in the 1st gen section if you want to get some answers.

Many thanks for taking the trouble, appreciate it. I will do a bit of measuring tomorrow.

Not sure about the newer Tundra's, but the 1st gens do not survive much real towing in OD (4th gear in the 1st gen)...Toyota bought me a tranny at 35k after saying it was OK to tow in OD. 120+k now with no issues and never tow in OD....also hit the button to lock out od when driving around the hills.

Yes, I know. First gen Tundra's had the same transmission as the Tacoma. Ibkilled atundra transmission in my 1st gen Tundra by towing too.
