On my 09 Tacoma the tire pressure indicator blinks at start up and stays on. All 5 tires are properly Inflated to 30 lbs. The rest procedure does not correct the problem. I suspect the TPMS unit is faulty. Where is the TPMS unit located. How do you test and fix it?

There is a TPMS sensor inside each of the tires and is a part of the valve stem. There is a very high probability that the battery inside one of the TPMS sensors has died as probably none of them have been replaced since the truck was new. Be happy they lasted as long as they did!

Cheapest route would be to just ignore it, but if you are like me you want a working TPMS and a shop can take care of you for $$.

The SET button does not work that way. It’s sole intended purpose is to tell the computer what pressures your tires are supposed to be. It is not intended to remove the warning light from your dash.
