    Very honorable, and appreciated.

I hope everything works out, and please let us know what happens. Perhaps the other threads are indeed wrong.

I suspect the other threads are correct, and I will continue to try and find the C015 TPMS sensors, but if I do not find them, I will try the OEM part number sensors the dealer told me to use. Who knows!

Here is picture of my broken one. Maybe 2016 tpms will work for 2015 model but not the other way around. Guy that did my tires owns 2015 Tacoma and used same tpms that he used on his truck, and my would not read them.

So, where did you find a replacement? I fully expect the ones I got not to work, but I can't find the right ones. eBay is all out. And Toyota claims I need the ones I ordered, so...

He had to order them from Jacksonville dealer, none of local dealers had them. I hope they are correct ones. Will find out on Wednesday

Well, let me know what you find out. If you happen to hear the name of the dealer where he got the sensor, let me know.

    None yet, but soon...
Some states won't pass your vehicle for inspection if any of your dash lights are on. The new "idiot you got a flat tire light" is a new safety thing the feds wantrd after all the rollovers from Ford Extinction...

Alright, after some digging around, I have discovered that the Toyota Dealer did indeed give me the wrong part number, even with supplying my VIN. Toyota told me that the part numbers for the TPMS sensors on 2016 Tacoma's were (42607-06011 for Alloy Wheels and 42607-06030 for Steel Wheels) THIS IS WRONG! I called TireRack and asked them. They told me that the correct TPMS sensor for my Tacoma with Alloy Wheels is (42607-06030) the P/N the dealer said was for the steel wheels. I had TireRack go and pull a (42607-06030) out of inventory, and look at it. They confirmed that (42607-06030) had the number PMV-C015 on it. I went ahead and ordered the TPMS sensors from Tire Rack ($249 for 4 ... OUCH! I actually found them a little cheaper on https://www.trdparts.com/ ($56 ea) but I felt that TireRack deserved my business for helping my by actually pulling the part and looking at it for me, and they would have it in the mail today). I then wanted to confirm that this was correct, and I found 2 pieces of evidence that leads me to believe that TireRack is correct and the dealer is wrong.

    1. An image i found of a seller selling 1 TPMS sensor on eBay (Notice the Toyota P/N (42607-06030) and the PMV-C015 printed on the TPMS Sensor):

    $_57.jpg

    2. I also found a application chart on http://www.mcgeecompany.com/resources/tpms-guide/ that shows the Toyota Part Numbers for all Tacoma's with TPMS:

    Screen Shot 2016-02-08 at 9.20.52 AM.jpg

TireRack, Random Picture on eBay, www.mcgeecompany.com and this thread all seem to agree that the PMV-C015 is the correct TPMS sensor for the 16 Tacoma with Alloy Wheels.

As a reference the www.mcgeecompany.com website showed that the Alloy Wheels: P/N 42607-06030 fits the 2016 Tacoma and 2015+ Camry:

    Screen Shot 2016-02-08 at 9.06.25 AM.jpg

Again, for 2016 the Toyota Part Numbers for TPMS sensors is:

    Alloy Wheels: P/N 42607-06030 (PMV-C015)

    Steel Wheels: P/N 42607-04020

So, there is no TPMS sensor in the spare tire, correct? I'm planning to up-size my tires while keeping the factory wheels, and want a matching size spare. If I spring for a matching spare tire I would like to be able to use it in a five-tire rotation schedule. I planed to by a 5th factory wheel to replace the steel spare wheel so all 5 wheels/tires match to make rotation straight forward. However, this would result in one-of-five in the rotation not being TPMS equipped. I actually like TPMS because my wife drives my truck and might not notice a slow leak like I would. I also doubt either of us would notice if the spare went flat. Can the system accommodate five sensors? If not, is there a way to switch the four active senors on and off so that I can choose which four out of the five are monitored?

I have read in various forums and TPMS websites that the computer in the 2016 Tacoma will accept 5 TPMS sensors, but only comes from the factory with 4. I do not have any first hand experience, just what I have read. Good luck! Let us know what you find out in the end

There is no TPMS in the spare.

I feel lucky I bought a complete set of C015 sensors for $27!

Good jod on finding all the info your self, it a shame that dealers have access to all this info and still can't provide correct part.
I still don't have mine fixed, guy suppose to call me when part comes in. I have feeling that he ordered wrong tpms, he also used VIN to make order.

Also, tpms needs to be programmed to the truck to. So,even if you get new sensors, it's not plug and play.

    Or I can program them?

You can probably program them yourself using Toyota TIS. You need to know the ID codes beforehand.

Do all 3rd gens have TPMS? (Mine = Canadian TRD sport DBL CAB)
Reason I ask is because I removed my OEM Sport wheels and put my old aftermarket Gen 2 wheels (with TPMS) and NO light has come up on the dash yet???:confused: (2500 km later)

My understanding is that Gen 2 TPMS were NOT compatible with Gen 3- and second you would have to at least hit the reset button on left driver side knee.
So.... this leads me to believe that my 3rd gen doesn't have TPMS???

    Thoughts?

The fact the light comes on implies that your Tacoma DOES have TPMS. (Maybe you meant the light HAS NOT come on yet) Light on indicates malfunction. When you put your other wheels with the incorrect TPMS sensors. It takes about 10-15 minutes for the light to come on. It can also take longer if the truck is parked next to the original wheels with the correct TPMS sensors. My wife's RAV4 with snow tires and no TPMS sensors light does not come on because she parks next to the OEM wheels with TPMS. And she only drives 10-15 minutes at a time.

    Sorry Edit:

NO light has come up yet after switching wheels.
