I am planing on buying a new set of TRD Pro wheels for my 2016 4runner , I would like to put the 265's tires and wheels on my 2017 Tacoma which has 245 16's on it .

What can I do and should I do as far as sensors , I don't mind buying new TPMS for the for the PRO set thats going on the 4runner .

Can the sensors in the 4runner set be programmed to the Tacoma ?

If I do order new sensors for the 4runner will that truck have to be reprogrammed or are they vehicle specific .

Hate to get into breaking wheels and tires down but will if I have to , not sure if the sensors in the steel tacoma wheels will work in the 4runner aluminum wheels .

    Thanks

well, I bought a set of FJ Cruiser Wheels with tires and it had TPMS in them. I separated the tires and sold the tires first then the rims then kept the TPMS. Took them to the local tire shop I asked if I can put them on a new set of rims if I bought from them. They said Yes, all they need to do is get a reading on one of my original sensors and program it to my Tacoma, but by law they cannot remove TPMS.
DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT INFO but that's what the guys said at the counter!
