I have a 2002 Tacoma, 4x4, 6cyl, manual. Local mechanic said the actuator motor was bad on the transfer case. Couldn't locate the motor he was talking about, so ordered a used entire transfer case. The case fit and worked perfectly except when it came to hooking up the wiring. Obviously I was sent the wrong transfer case, but the company suddenly 'went out of business.'
Is there any way to just splice these wires together to make my 4-wheel drive work?
In the image, the connector on the left is what plugged into my old transfer case. Wiring colors are (l-r) pink, black & white, red & yellow, white, and blue. The connector on the right is the only hookup on the new transfer case (l-r) black, yellow, light green, then two dark green wires attached together.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Is splicing wires even possible with this? Or should I be trying to purchase an actuator motor?

What you have to do is determine what the newer transfer case came out of and check the wiring schematic against your original transfer case .

When I bought the new (used) transfer case, they assured me it was for my truck. They even got my vin# and everything. When I tried to contact them for a return they were suddenly 'out of business'. Just my luck. Is there a number or anything on the transfer case that would tell me what it is from? Where would I find a wiring schematic? As you can tell, I'm pretty ignorant about this and unfortunately, my mechanic doesn't use the internet.
Thank you so much for taking time to respond.

Thanks so much. Will let my mechanic read it and see what happens. If I need an actuator motor, where is the best place to purchase it? I looked online before, but couldn't find what he was talking about. Thanks again.
