TRD Exhaust Tip

Can you add the TRD exhaust tip to my 18 Sport 4x4 with no modifications to my stock exhaust.

Yes, you can. You simply slide the exhaust tip on and tighten down the collar with a bolt. I did the same thing with my '17, although I painted my matte black. Very easy to install and only takes about 10 min.

Bought my from puretacoma.com TRD black tip...nice piece has a slightly textured matte black finish bolts right up.

 

I would like it better if it does have the TRD logo on it. This one looks like i can get it from any auto part store at a cheaper price.

 

Yeah no TRD logo like the chrome one...but like I said it has a slightly textured matte black finish which is probably why...what it does have is a factory Toyota part number and that’s all that matters...

 

Does the part# engraved on the exhaust tip?

Does anyone have a picture of the chrome tip painted black with the logo?

 

I think that black one is Powder Coated so it's going to be more durable than a chrome one that you rattle-can paint.

 

Just FYI the chrome tip does not have the TRD logo on it. It has the Toyota emblem on the top.

 

These tips slip over the OEM non tipped end? Because I noticed the OEM exhaust end flares a larger diameter than the rest of the tube...does that portion need not to be chopped off first to add this?? If so I’m in!

 

It slips over the flared end and there is spacers to keep it on the exhaust

 

So no chopping required what so ever?!?! Sweet! Buying one now then! With that said does it increase the outlet diameter? I’m content with the outlet diameter of the non-tipped OEM flare...anything larger will be too ricey looking for my taste...thanks for the helpful feedback and another dent in my already anorexic wallet lol

 

Spacers and the flared end inside the tip. Absolutely no cutting required, I actually just installed this today on my dad's truck!

 

I’m assuming it would still fit if you did cut the flared end? I’d like to cut my exhaust right behind the tire.
