    I'm just about do for my 60,000 mile tune up. I have seen the TRD plugs and I'm thinking about getting a set. Dose any one have them in there truck?

    Too bad... I just popped Denso iridiums in mine and runs smooth and starts quick. Can't tell any difference from the copper plugs I just took out that needed re-gapping every 10K. It's real nice knowing it'll be that way for 100K now.

    Didn't you crack one over tightening when you installed them? Seems kinda unfair to blame the plugs since that could have been the cause for uneven firing.

    One did crack, and I'm not blaming the plugs entirely on the fact that they didn't work but since the new plugs are installed I might try Iridium next change...

    I just replaced mine again with the Denso IKH20's gapped at .040 and man it runs great. The first time around I had the IKH20 but had them gapped at .044. It made some difference with a smaller gap and most of my rasp noise that I have had with my DTLT's seems to have vanished. It's crazy I know but it did.

    I know the wires are weird on the v6 but they do use 6 plugs still don't they?

    Factory Monster Truck Package with reverse gear.
    Iridiums are not necessary but can be used...they have a different temp range then standard copper plugs...Iridums are used in conjuction with TRD SC or any significant modified engine upgrades. I used iriduims on my 05 before I got a SC it wont hurt anything just a little more pricey

    King 2.5" extended travel coilovers with compression adjusters, Camburg UCA's, King 2.5" rear shocks, TRD 1st gen CAI.
    They're a waste of money if you're not super charged. NGK's will do you just fine and they hold a better gap than the Denso's.

    An Auto Parts Dealer recently tried to convince me to purchase Iridium Plugs for my 2013 V6 Tacoma. Based on the comments I have seen I not convinced either way.

    The only reason I can see to use Iridium plugs is where its a PITA to change the plugs. On the Tacoma the plugs are right there (unless you bury them under a SC).

    I put in NGK iridium plugs at 45k. I hadn't read any advice not to prior to installing them. I'm nearing 70k now and they seem to have been fine. I might reconsider when I do the plugs at 90k, but these have worked for me.

    Subaru specs NGK iridiums on their 6-cylinder Outbacks. Not fun to change plugs on one of them. Very little room to fit a ratchet.

    First time I did it, it took me 3 hours!

    The Tacoma probably took me 45 minutes.
