    Well I did a shit ton of research on these tires, they have been out for years and nobody seem to have any issues. Dont be so blind that you dont think shit like this cant happen to a regular tire. I had michelin ltx on my super van and the same shit happened.:rolleyes:

    In drive a truck for a living and this statement PISSES ME OFF.....

    I've seen VIRGIN tires come apart with 1000 miles on the front of a wheeler....Try handling that ride....

    Look at the OP"s pic...that casing gave way NOT THE CAP....IF Treadwright did ANYTHING wrong it was at the beginning accepting that casing...YES they should warranty it BUT STOP F!@#$%^ Chicken little on caps....

    Put a million miles on and come talk then....

    Well put. I drove truck for a long time and the only cap I had come apart was one that had a hole in the sidewall that I drove on with 0psi for a while.

    Only difference with retreads is that you are relying on the technican to detect flaws in the carcass rather than systematic, statistical quality control employed in new tire manufacturing. Depending on the brand, this may mean the new tires are less likely to fail.
