2017 Tacoma Offroad Access Cab 4x4

Can I install a diff drop kit with the skids? I'm seeing that a 1" drop is recommended if you go over 2"s of lift.

Already ordered, so just seeing if I should be researching 3" lifts or 2" lifts.
