I am a first-time Tacoma owner and new to this forum (or any forum for that matter). I recently traded my 2007 Chevrolet 3500 Duramax (which I felt sick about at the time). So far, I LOVE this truck. One thing that has disappointed me, though, is that even though the truck has 278 horses under the hood, it seems to lack power in 5th and 6th gears and results in a lot of shifting. My 2003 Volkswagen Passat with 180 h.p. never lacks for power in fifth gear, even on steep inclines. Granted, it's a car AND it's turbo charged, which brings me to the question at hand. Is is possible to turbo charge this engine and is it advisable. Any thoughts, warnings or suggestions?
