I recently purchased an UnderCover Flex bedcover for my 2nd Gen Tacoma. I've been very disappointed with the purchase.

Apparently, UnderCover very recently changed their rail design. While I'd wager the new rail design works well in some applications, the 2nd Gen Tacoma is not one of them. Basically, with the new design, when you tighten down the brackets to hold the cover on the bed, they effectively push the cover up and out of the bed. If you tighten the brackets down very lightly, you can get the cover to sit down in the bed like it's supposed to. However, with them very lightly tightened, the cover will move around when being opened and closed which is unacceptable.

The best I could do to get the cover both tightened enough to keep it from moving around when opening and closing AND loose enough so that the cover will sit down in the bed left a healthy gap between the tailgate and the cover.

I called UnderCover about the issue and first, they sent me an install video which used the old rail design. When I explained that to them and sent them multiple pictures of the issues, their solution was to send me an additional rubber seal with adhesive on it to "plug" the gap between the tailgate and the cover. Nice.

Anyway, there are too many other companies that make similar covers (and mount differently than the UnderCover) that work well to consider the UnderCover Flex as an option.
