    I'm at stock ride height, but looking to replace the overly harsh oem bump stops on my truck front and rear. I've seen the Energy Suspension options which are a direct fit, but the same company (and others I'm sure) makes universal stops for even cheaper. I'm curious if anyone has adapted a set of universal stops to their rig and how they perform. I assume the only consideration is finding something approximately the same size or longer than the stock stops that will mount up.

    What makes you think you are hitting your bump stops? Have you put some chalk or putty on them or something like that? This comes up a lot on here, but I’ve been skeptical that it is truly an issue.

    Appreciate the reply. Did you end up shaving the stop down to better match the size of the stock stop or just ran it? Nice build btw!

    Just because an aftermarket bump stop isn't the same size as a stock one, doesn't mean one would have to "shave" it down.

    Generally speaking, aftermarket bumpstops are better than stock and though they may be longer, they compress much more to match a factory stop.

    Bumpstops like Durobumps are a huge improvement over stock and are progressive in that they only get harder to compress the more they're compressed.

    I left it full, I havent gone anywhere to really test them out but I'll be going this weekend and I'll trim if needed. They aren't too much taller than oem. Thanks I try to keep updating it.

    Yeah, the stock bumps are harder than even hockey pucks. These are much softer.
