Hey guys. So like i was saying earlier, im very new to this. But i got a couple of questions on modifying my 2k12 4Cyl taco.

Headers! I want to get it in my truck and give it a way much easier time breathing and a few extra horses. What do you guys recomend? What brand would be the best?

Wheels! I have a small lift of a 3" spacer on the front and a 1" add-a-leaf on the rear. In the near future i was goin to swap out the leaf springs for some old man emu daker lesfsprings. I want to go with a 32x11.5, but would that make the motor haul a**? Or should i go with the 31x10.5? What do you guys think?

Gearing! I have not done homework on gears, but maybe you guys can give me some pointers so i can do some research on that.

    Thanks guys!

iirc LCengineering no longer makes their headers so Doug Thorley is the other option. I personally have the DT header and love the hell out of it. For my '08, install was a breeze. Everything fit nicely and I was happy with the performance gain/little sound influence it gave.

4 bangers come with 4.10s, you'll be fine running 32x11.5 (it's what I run but I won't compare apples to oranges). Also there's a few heavily discussed threads on the dakars and front lifts. Good luck bud.

Cody, only 6 lug manuals IIRC come with the 4.10's

Pretty sure all 4 cylinders are 4.10 equipped due to the lack of horsepower vs the v6.

I'll do research later but I'm pretty sure no. IIRC a buddy of mine wanted my gears, he was a 5 lug. He did research and im pretty sure he was going to need a larger carrier. Not 100% sure though off hand.

    Well even so I'd recommend 4.56s :)

5 lug access cab manual 3.31, under dimensions

5 lug reg cab auto 3.58
    6 lug 4x4/prerunner reg cab manual 4.10
    6 lug 4x4/prerunner reg cab auto 4.10

I was in bed but woke up to make the list.

I had 255/85/16 (33.2") with 4.56 and it was rev happy. If your around town all the time, 4.56 would work great. If highway, stick with 4.10's.

If you are a 5 lug you will need to upgrade the carrier to hold the larger cut ring, im pretty sure not 100% though.
