there is no way there is enough behind the seat to have those 3 subs work effectively even with a spacer mod at the top and glassing the rear. The MAX space net for a simple sealed box even is around 2.2cf. You have more wood taking up space and 3 sub basket and magnets.

It looks good for sure, don't get me wrong but your 8s will be tuned way to high, pretty much mid bass range( super short ports and small ported chamber. IM going to guess here that those chambers are .5cf Gross

The box is 48.5 inches wide. 3.5 at the top, 19 tall. This is without a face or back. The chamber walls are .5 inches along with floor being half an inch. So that gives me (48.5 - 2.5 total width) 46

    height is 19 - 1.25 or 17.5.

    I can average 3.5 with 7 for 5.25

    (5.25)(17.5)(46)= 4165.9

    4165.9 / inches in a cubic foot 1728 = 2.41 / 3 = .8 ft sq

    Not impossible.

Should of been height of 17.25.

But at any rate, people said you can put sa-8's in a double cab. Everything is impossible until you do it

you mean cant ? sa's are easy to fit lol. my buddy swapped out his box with 2 sa 12s for some other subs.

BTW 2.4 ish is about right but thats without the sub displacement and port displacement. hence why i said the max one can get is around 2.2 cf NET.
If your port is actually tune to recommended 35 hz the .8 you have - .08 = .72 would shrink very very close to that below the .5 limit

but like i said, good idea and ingenuity

Like manethon said, your calculations were done assuming a single airspace with no displacements and even/straight dimensions.

You have three different chambers, none of which will be exactly the same given displacements and curvature of the back wall.

The picture of your port straight on shows the back wall which tells me it's a short port and tuned high...you would be lucky if you were close to 42hz off the top of my head. You essentially turned your 8 inch subs into glorified mid bass drivers.

Your sealed sub may hit lower frequencies than the 8s but now you have a nightmare in terms of blending and transition.

You literally will have gained more output by building the box to the two sa8's instead of cramming another sub into less than optimal airspace.

Advice with a grain of salt and in the end it's your truck, time and money.

I modeled the sub setup like you have it in WinISD.

So yes you can do it, but you can also wind up with a one-note wonder and really lacking in the sub-bass department (which is sort of the reason for subs). And that was neglecting driver displacement.

SO many things wrong with this build :(

Props on the workmanship and ingenuity... but there are good reasons why you don't see many others like this.

....... errrr I hear loud music and something that sounds like my cell phone vibrate function. 2 10s ported @ the same total Subpower your currently running would have sounded 10x better and been Substantially louder. Im happy you like it and in the end thats all that matters really. Me however would Hate it for various reasons that i won't go into.

not sure what your point is. This setup actually sounds very nice, no major peaks and a nice smooth freq response across the entire spectrum.

Notice it doesnt have an abnormally large high freq peak but the detail on the lower freq ranges.

this tune is also to show off musical ability and response fwiw, not a LOUDNESS test
