First off, please don’t ban me for posting about a Vagabond. Hopefully some of the VO owners still frequent here. Second, and more importantly, does anyone have a link or know where to get a connector for connecting the standard/stock wires/pig tail to a goal zero?

I did not get it pre-wired for solar so it just has the wires in the drivers side rear that powers my fan and lights. I’m trying to connect it to my goal zero in the mean time until I drill and install panels. I will upload a pic of the wires I’m referencing later today. TIA

Mine is prewired for solar but I have not installed any panels yet. I remember the two wires that go inside the Drifter are just wires without connectors.. It leaves you the option to put any connector you like I believe. Are you looking for the specific female connector that goes to the goal zero?

What are you trying to wire your GZ to? for fans and other things?

Good call! My plan to is to wire the fan and lights to a smaller goal zero Sherpa that is mounted next to the control panel/corner and then use a deep cycle battery hooked up to solar for fridge, laptop, etc. Not your conventional set up but I already have the goal zero so want to make use of it, at least in the mean time. I also don’t have the solar side if things all set up yet, but would still like to utilize the fan and lights in the mean time. I pretty much just need to know how/what I need to connect my goal zero to the factory wires in order to power the fan and lights.

@4wdExplorer thanks, that very may be what it is, I just am so ignorant to what my goal zero needs to connect to those wires. I apologize since I know this is probably a super rudimentary type question for those familiar with wiring and off grid power.

My Drifter was not prewired either for the lights and fan. The way the VB wired both lights and fan was having both on the same circuit. The fan and the lights do not draw much power I would just wire everything up to the deep cycle battery.

I don’t have the deep cycle set up yet, so I was just hoping for a band aid type of solution. My thinking was that there has to be some sort of wire that connects from my goal zero to the wires that came with the camper. Like I said, I’m so new to this that there may not be such a thing and/or such an easy solution but figured I’d ask

Have you located the ground and positive wires for the lights and fan? They share same common ground and positive wire. I would unscrew the aluminum panel that has the light switches and investigate if you can find any open wires. Then you can buy a 12v male cigarette socket and plug that into your goal zero?

^^^this is all you need to do

edit- your positive and negative wires may have a white plug on the ends but not a 12v male plug in.

Do I need anything extra if they don’t have a 12v male plug in? I was planning on just purchasing this

If you have a white plug on the positive and negative wires it will more than likely look like this.

I have no idea what type of plug this is or what it’s called. Maybe someone in here will. If you have this plug and can’t find or source the other end I would just cut it off and add the 12v male to plug into your Goal Zero.
This is what the other end of the white plug looks like. It’s also connected to a 12v male end for temporary use.
