and do you have a lift or aftermarket wheel and tires? Could it be a drive line vibration?

No xtras...truck is completely stock...I only notice the sputtering vibrating feeling while driving and accelerateing..if I'm going down the street and let off the gas..it goes away..if I put the truck in neutral..its gone..leads me to believe its a fuel or spark issue .

is the truck new or used? could be bad u-joints if its used. mine went bad and it vibrated when giving gas but letting off made it stop.

I have a brand new SR5 4x4 Short Bed w/v6. Since I picked it up from the dealer a couple weeks ago I've noticed vibrations that feel like they are coming from the back end when I accelerate heavily. I've never noticed any "sputtering" or loss of power, just vibrations. Nothing major but it is a concern. Also I have 300lbs of sandbags in the back, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

A lot of times it's the center carrier bearing on the driveshaft... or could be u-joints.

turns out it was in fact the center u-joint next to the carrier bearing...i dropped the driveshaft and replaced all three and now it rides smooth.:)
