Not looking for any answers, as I knew I wasn't following proper procedure. Just thought I'd share what happened. So my bro waxed his 4Runner about three weeks ago. It had been washed a couple times since, and since he used regular turtle wax cleaner wax I didn't think there would be much left anyway after that long. So. I went ahead and applied a layer of megs ultimate liquid wax. I let it cure for about 8 hours and just for fun and a little extra shine, I hit it with Turtle wax ice spray wax (wipe on wipe off). Looked great.

Well we go take a look this morning, and it looks great, but there are little bumps all over the surface. You can't see them, but you can feel them when you run your hand across the surface. Sharp little nearly microscopic bumps. Almost like little bug droppings or something. Well, it was parked in an underground garage. No bugs. It's just really weird. And they're are a lot of them. Like every 4-6" in every directions. And not just on horizontal surfaces. It's everywhere. Even where the side panels angle in toward the bottom of the doors.

I don't know if it's from wax underneath. Or or incompatibility of the Ice on top of the ULW. Anyone care to venture a guess?

i doubt it has anything to do with wax. sounds more like they did something in garage. did you try to clay and see what comes up?

Not yet. That's the plan. The stuff will come off easily. Just strange that it happened. It's not on any other vehicles in the garage.

Get a clay bar kit. Meguiars or mothers. Both are about the same. Wash it twice, dry it, clay bar it, then use a high quality wax or polish. I prefer the colonites insulator wax. It is pretty awesome stuff.

I've got both Collinite and ULW. I like them both, but the ULW holds up better in the summer.
