In your opinion, when starting a "mild" overland/adventure rig, what should be your main focus as far as upgrades and modifications?

In my opinion (in order of importance):

All maintenance up to date (oil, coolant, spark plugs, differential fluid, etc.)
Recovery equipment (kinetic rope, traction boards, air supply, tire repair kit, etc.)
    Relocated diff breather
    Tires and suspension
Lighting (pods, light bar, retrofit, rear bumper lights, etc.)
Armor (depends on your goals and where you plan to go, I'd recommend at least sliders and maybe a skid plate)
Interior comfort (window tint, stereo, leather, etc.)
    Storage
    Stickers (free horsepower)

Fox/Dakar with Relentless goodies and stuff
    1) tires
    2) then armor (skids/sliders)
    3) then suspension
    4) then more armor (bumpers)
    5) then adjust suspension accordingly for the added weight
    6) then lighter wheels and larger tires
    7) then regear front/rear diffs

Some misc smaller mods between the above list
