Well I have been stewing over this for a long time now, I can't commit...please help me decide.

I currently have TRD offroad wheels with 265/75/16 Hankook Dynapros with about 10k miles on them. Thing is, I REALLY want to buy new wheels, like I can't wait any longer it is driving me nuts. I already bought a lift kit, but wont be able to get it installed until school is out. Once the lift is installed I will more than likely want bigger tires, but with cool wheels I might not.

My question for you all is, should I wait to do everything together (so lift, new wheels and tires)? Or, the other option is to do the wheels now, then the lift in a few months, then tires if I don't like the look of 265s.

I am thinking I will just try to sell my old wheels and tires on here or craigslist or something. So the big deciding factor is this. Would the wheels and tires together be easier to sell, or would separating them be a good idea. The wheels are in pretty good shape, but not perfect and the tires still have a lot of tread left.

My thinking is that together, they will sell for more and be easier to get rid of. What are your thoughts? What would you do?

Here is my truck now...thinking of getting black mb 352s. Thanks in advance for any help!

Can't help you with the tires/wheels sale. I don't have any experience with that. As for the lift, I'd wait and do it all at once. I'm guessing, once you get that lift, you're gonna want to go bigger on tires/wheels anyway.

I would wait until you install the lift and then get new tires. I rocked my stock 265s on a 3" kit for almost a year until I decided on what tires I wanted and how big.

Happy with my 285s. They look MUCH better than 265 IMHO.

Tire sale: I put my stock wheels and tires up on craigslist. Guy wanted just the tires so I met up with him at a shop he paid for the tires and for the shop to remove them. Long story short, I still have the wheels..lot of tire kickers but that's about it. If you can sell them together, do it.

if the rims are in decent shape you can get a couple hundred easy. don't expect $800+ for 7 year old rims and used tires but don't let them go for cheap either.

You'll probably spend over $1200 for new unless you get a great deal (there's a rebate/sale for some tires from discounttire.com right now, check slickdeals.net for info) but might as well wait and find the right price/time for the new shoes

Thanks for the responses everyone. My original plan was to just wait and do it all at once, but every freakin time I visit this website I try to justify buying some new shit, and for the past couple of weeks it has been wheels. I am just going to do it all at once as soon as I can.

That being said, I will try to sell my wheels and tires together. If the wheels are very clean, with only a minor blemish or two per wheel, and the tires have about 60-70% tread left, what would you try to get out of them? I was thinking I would start around $600 for the whole set and see what happens. That seem about right? I have never bought nor sold used wheels or tires so I really have no clue what they would go for.
